Who plans a wedding in about a month timeframe while in the process of moving?! Sarah and Tony did and received the most perfect early autumn weather day blessing surrounded by 40 of their closest family and friends. I found it so special to get married in the backyard of their new home together as a family, with Luna their dog and Tony's children Maddie & Nick. There was a pretty sunroom where I started with the dress, rings and invitation and while Sarah was upstairs, Tony was in the downstairs area hanging out with some guests. The best part of an intimate wedding day is the love that it takes to pull everything off. Family helped no matter where they were needed.
Being an Irish girl myself the Irish blessings given during the ceremony (officiated by Sarah's sister) and then during the toasts by her best friend were so poetic since the couple took their first trip together as a couple to Ireland (a true test of a great relationship). One of my favorite parts was Tony's father and girlfriend put on a performance of an old married couple that really got everyone laughing.
Fun fact is that Tony is also a photographer and does a few weddings a year plus senior photography. He had a perfect location for portraits at Worthington Pond Farm and it had it all. Clearly I am a fan of barns and rustic details and the property didn't disappoint with a vintage car, covered bridge and a budding winery. The owners were very gracious and let us roam around and its it going to make a stunning venue someday soon!
