A Lakeside Family Estate Wedding

There is nothing better than to close my 2024 season with a lakeside celebration at a family estate, filled with the sweetness of Kristen and Dan. The weather was a cap to the early autumn vibes. The colors reflected on the water in a perfect mirror. Kristen's godfather graciously hosted the event and the getting ready room was bright and sun soaked. The girls were putting the final touches on the ceremony florals to match the arbor that the couple assembled themselves (!!) with a plaque of their names & date.

After the details were photographed and the dress was buttoned, Kristen said to me "Ah I feel like time is going to start flying!" That is the moment you realize you are about to marry your best friend and see your guests and celebrate! The personal vows were sweet and got some laughs - especially mentioning their fur babies and their importance in their lives. During toasts Dan's father recited a poem that was written on his wedding day with Dan's mom (40 years ago next week!) and it was a different kind of heirloom I have never seen before. The dance floor was quite literally packed all night and we love the spontaneity of lifts, dips and spins.
