Engagement season is is a short one here in New England. Everyone loves the glow of autumn and the October & November dates fill up fast. I met up with Kathryn and Timmy at their home in Tolland, Connecticut. These two met through a mutual friend two and a half years ago and adopted their darling and adorable pup Stevie! I just had to get a family shot first. I love when couples include their fur kids. She was such a trooper when a Save the Date sign was slung around her neck (that TImmy crafted..what a guy!) This reminds me of my own engagement session -- I wanted one good one with my dogs and one is all I got. I'm glad these two got a few more options.
After we got the family photo we drove about 10-15 minutes to Horse Hill Drive on the UCONN Campus. The rolling hills, red barns, and silos was a great location for this time of year. I had to get creative to find some color but managed to get some shots that are some new favorites for the portfolio.I love getting to know my couples and these two are easy going, fun and trusting. They didn't skip a beat when I asked then to hop a fence or hold a pose a little longer than comfortable.
I am thrilled to be shooting their Union Station day in Northampton, Massachusetts next October!
