It takes a special type of couple to rise and shine for a shoot at 7 a.m. after working their full time jobs all week. Enter Erica and Thomas two amazingly warm and fun souls that definitely made my job a breeze. Shooting at this new location hit all my favorite things like a barn, tall grass, willow tree and beautiful fall colors. There were so many options for photography it was easy to feel overwhelmed with spots.
Erica and Thomas came referred by friends of mine in the business and there is nothing better working with like minded clients that value photography! These two both work at Traveler's in different departments, met, fell madly in love and are the proud pet parents to their kitty, Evie. They just had to bring her along so they can send out a family photo for the holidays. She was so good and didn't make a meow even when a rather large dog came walking by with its owners.
This was my first sunrise shoot and let me tell you how much of a fan I am! Yes, there was a chill and a bit of dew but nothing we couldn't handle. We had our coats, coffee and weren't parked too far away from the cars to hop into (which we never needed). The light just came over the trees and made everything so pretty. The lake also had some fog rolling off and simply a great start to the day. For the rest of my morning I was astonished that it was only 9am when we finished with soooo many images and I felt way more productive the rest of the day. It is hard to pick a favorite set but the open field is a contender.
Erica and Thomas met up afterwards with some family and went to brunch locally. Thanks you two I now have a super awesome new location for sessions and Bauer Park thank you for showing off all the colors!
I am so looking forward to their autumn wedding next November!
All smiles,
Mariel
