I met up with Becca and JD on a perfect weekday evening in Newport, Rhode Island (somewhere I had never been). There were a few spots they wanted to share with me that are special to them so it was very fortunate we were coiffured around by Becca's mom. Between the downtown area to the massive mansions and to the cliffside lighthouse we were very lucky. I also got to meet another family member before the wedding which was an added bonus.
We started off at the Brick Alley Restaurant with its quaint cobblestone roadways - JD boasted that they have the BEST nachos! Who doesn't love nachos?! One of my favorite photos of this spot was the epic dip that took very little prompting from me. My couples always say they are awkward in front of the camera and are such pros! By the end of the session I had lots of this pose to chose from. This is why I enjoy engagement sessions so much - it's just a relaxing time and you can't mess anything up!
The lighthouse and the famous Castle Hill Inn gave us stunning views of all the boats bobbing around the water. The boats are just one of the things that came to mind when I think of classic New England waterfronts. We got to also end the afternoon with a lovely sunset in a quaint park near some stunning brick mansions.
This session took place a year to the day that I will see them in 2024 and I can't wait!
