I enjoyed the process of planning my own wedding so much that I wanted to parlay my lifestyle photography experience (4 years taking preschool age children studio school photos) into capturing wedding days for others. I began assisting and associate shooting for other local photographers cultivating my talent and learning the ins and outs of weddings. The days are long but years are short -- I truly love capturing these special timeless moments for others and its not work when you love what you are doing!
I primarily serve all of Connecticut but have gone beyond borders– photographing in Boston, Long Island, and even St. Lucia! My passport is up to date and I would be honored to explore new places to photograph your love story.
As a former bride I understand the struggle of finding the style you want at the price you want that's why I work closely to customize your needs. No two wedding are the same but all of my collections include me as your photographer, a minimum of six hours of coverage, online gallery of images, as well as a personalized USB package starting at $1,299. Most Mariel O. Photo couples spend on average $1,500-2,500. For a full investment guide and heirloom products please inquire..
I am a fully insured business and if your venue requires a Limited Liability certificate, I can happily supply that. While I am at your session all images are simultaneously being written on duel memory cards on two separate camera bodies. When I get home from your session, I back up your images to two different locations on my computer and one more for good measure on an external hard drive.
Complete wedding galleries of full-resolution images are delivered 4-6 weeks post event and other sessions may take 2-4 weeks. All images given are edited and match my photographic style. All sessions also receive their images in an online gallery where you can share and purchase additional products. Be sure to check the Blog where your day will be posted within a month of our time together (let me know if you don't want to be featured).
As you can tell from my portfolio, everything that isn’t a wedding is considered lifestyle photography. I began photographing children and families at the beginning of my career and it is something I still enjoy. I also am available for rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, baby showers, bridal showers and communions.
I would love to work together whether its a collaboration or being your sidekick for the day! I shoot with Canon gear with prime lenses/flashes and can rent any other equipment you require (with proper lead-time). Check out my associate photograper portfolio here. If you want my specifics check out my gear here.
