Winter has the best light hands down. There aren't many couples that want the snow and cold but Michelle and Rodrigo were very ready! I also encourage my couples to go somewhere fun for their engagement shoot - somewhere special or like these two, an activity they enjoy! There just so happened to be a polar vortex with crazy negative degree numbers but we had a great backdrop in Ski Mount Southington.

I waited in the cozy lodge and noticed how busy the whole place was. I am not a ski/snowboard person and for some reason thought it wouldn't be packed but I was wrong. We did manage to bypass all the people and some sort of slope race and got lots of variety. Totally enjoyed a little snowball fight towards the end of our time together.

Pretty excited for much different weather this fall when they say I do at Wickham Park!
